Express Yourself: Mastering Your Breastpump

Navigating the world of pumping and motherhood

Express yourself: mastering your breastpump

Are you looking to get the most out of your pumping sessions? Heading back to work and are just unsure the best way to use your pump? Do you want to connect with other mothers also navigating the world of pumping and motherhood? Then look no further; the Express Yourself: Mastering your Breastpump session is it!

What to expect?

You’ll learn about pump settings and flange sizing (and have a flange fitting while you are pumping during this session). You will be measured, and each attendee will have access to multiple sanitized flanges to try during the pumping session. This session includes the flanges needed to put during the fitting, but you’ll also go home with the flanges that work best for you – a $20 value!

We will also talk about milk storage, back-to-work strategies and answer all of your pumping-specific questions. We hope that being in a small group with other mothers on this journey will allow you to talk and learn from each other as well!

Who should attend?

This workshop is only open to people who are pumping and working to induce lactation or maintaining their milk supply. We ask that you please do not bring your partner to ensure that everyone is comfortable in this workshop. Babies are welcome, but ideally this workshop is about focusing on you and learning how to get the most of your pumping sessions. If you do need to bring your baby, please plan to have fed them before and provide them with toys and entertainment during the session.

What should participants bring?

You should bring:

-       A double electric pump and its electrical cord– not a wearable pump

-       All of your pump parts – tubes, flanges, membranes, pump, bottles, etc.

-       A pumping bra if you have one so you can be hands free.

Is this session covered by insurance?

After the session, you’ll be provided with a Superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. We cannot guarantee that your insurance company will provide reimbursement.
